He then worked for Farm Bureau as Secretary of the Organization in Illinois and Iowa securing members.
He later worked at the Stronghurst FS as a delivery driver for a number of years. As a boy Roger worked for the State of Illinois mowing roadways with a horse drawn mower. He married Betty Joanne Boyd on Februin Stronghurst, Illinois and she preceded him in death on July 16, 2013. Roger served his country in the United States Army. He then attended and graduated from Biggsville High School with the class of 1947. During his grade school years they moved to Biggsville, Illinois and he attended Cedar Lynn Country School. Roger was born on Novemin Danville, Iowa and is the son of William W. Kelly, age 92, of Biggsville, Illinois passed away in Stronghurst, Illinois on Saturday Maat 4:30 pm.
